Williams AV Infinium SYS1 is a professional modular Bluetooth® Auracast™ broadcast audio system for assistive listening and real-time audio distribution in commercial AV environments.

Infinium SYS1 delivers low-latency, high-fidelity audio to unlimited Auracast™ compatible devices, including hearing aids, cochlear implants, headphones, and Infinium receivers. Enhanced Scale & Management (ESM) features allow AV teams to centrally configure, monitor, and expand systems through a web interface, supporting deployments from a single room to multiple spaces.

General System

The system shall provide a complete assistive listening system consisting of controllers, transmitters, dedicated receivers, and charging docks under a single brand.
The system shall utilize Bluetooth® LE (BLE) Auracast™ wireless broadcasting technology and standards to deliver audio to an unlimited number of Auracast™-enabled users.
The system shall support standard and high-quality audio in mono and stereo configurations.
The system shall provide end-to-end latency of less than 40 milliseconds when used with dedicated receivers.
The system shall incorporate AES128-CCM encryption and offer both open and password-protected channel security options to ensure flexible deployment.
The system shall support connecting multiple transmitters to a single controller utilizing standard managed IP switches.
The system shall support the configuration of up to 150 transmitters (depending on network capacity) through a Web Control Interface (WCI) accessed from a single controller.
The system shall support automatic receiver hopping between transmitters by arranging transmitters into arrays through the Web Control Interface (WCI).
The system shall support grouping transmitters and transmitter arrays into Spaces through the Web Control Interface (WCI).
The system shall be an Infinium system by Williams AV.

Controller

The system shall include a dedicated controller.
The controller shall be no larger than 8.45" W × 5.75" D × 1.72" H (21.5 × 14.6 × 4.4 cm) and shall weigh 2.3 lbs (1.1 kg) or less.
The controller shall include a push-on/push-off latching power button for convenient control.
The controller shall include a dedicated RJ-45 port for connecting a PC either directly to the controller or through a network to provide access to the Web Control Interface (WCI) for configuration, programming, status display, and firmware updates.
The controller shall include a dedicated RJ-45 port for direct transmitter connection or Dante® audio networking.
The controller shall provide Power over Ethernet (PoE) output to supply power to the Infinium transmitter.
The controller shall support microphone inputs via XLR / 1/4" combination connectors and/or terminal block connectors.
The controller shall include two line inputs. Input 1 shall support either a combination XLR / 1/4" connector or a terminal block connector. Input 2 shall be a terminal block connector.
The controller shall include a single 1/4" headphone/audio output jack for audio monitoring.
The controller shall include a 3.12" high-resolution OLED display and a direct-entry user interface supporting button-actuated programming and status indicator selection.
The controller shall be capable of monitoring up to 150 transmitters, with detailed information visible on the display.
The controller shall support DSP-programmable audio processing functions including compression, high-pass filter frequency, low-pass filter frequency, and audio presets. Audio presets shall include Hearing Assistance, Music, Voice, and Flat.
The controller shall be compatible with a standard 19" rack, occupying one EIA rack space high and one-half rack width. It shall support installation of one or two units within a single rack space.
The controller shall be suitable for placement on shelves, tables, podiums, or similar flat surfaces.

Transmitter

The system shall include one or more Bluetooth® LE (BLE) Auracast™ transmitters.
The transmitter shall include a single RJ-45 connector.
The transmitter shall be powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE).
The transmitter shall support audio, device configuration, device status, PoE power input, and firmware updates over a single CAT 5e Ethernet cable.
The transmitter shall support Dante® audio via the single multi-purpose RJ-45 connector.
The transmitter shall broadcast two independent mono audio streams or one stereo audio stream in accordance with Bluetooth® Auracast™ guidelines.
The transmitter shall provide adjustable RF output power to meet the desired coverage requirements of the installation.
The transmitter shall support 16 kHz and 24 kHz (Auracast™ Standard), as well as 48 kHz (Auracast™ High), sample rates.
The transmitter shall include an LED status indicator that can be disabled through the programming interface.
The transmitter shall be no larger than 4.7" W × 5.0" D × 1.19" H (11.9 × 12.7 × 3 cm) and shall weigh 2.3 lbs (1.04 kg) or less.

Receiver

The system shall include dedicated receivers for users without Auracast™-enabled devices.
The dedicated receiver shall measure no more than 3.9" × 2.48" × 0.85" (99 × 63 × 21.6 mm) without the belt clip and shall weigh no more than 3.8 oz (108 g).
The receiver shall include a removable belt clip.
The receiver shall include a 3.5 mm stereo jack supporting neck loops compatible with T-coil hearing aids, assistive listening headphones, or earphones, according to user preference.
The receiver shall include volume up/down and left/right balance adjustment controls to improve intelligibility for users requiring audio assistance.
The receiver shall include Power, Increment, Decrement, CH/BAL, and Menu/Select button controls.
The receiver power button shall incorporate a programmable LED status indicator.
The receiver shall include an OLED display with a diagonal size of 1.54" or greater to display available channels, the selected channel, signal strength, and battery level.
Advanced programmable controls shall include device settings lock, sleep timeout, screen timeout, power button LED enable/disable, signal strength display type, and factory reset.
The receiver shall utilize a rechargeable lithium-ion (Li-ion), camera-style, field-replaceable battery with a minimum capacity of 1200 mAh.
The receiver shall support charging via contact drop-in chargers or the USB-C port.
The receiver shall be programmable to connect only to Infinium streams or to general Auracast™ streams.
The receiver shall automatically switch between transmitters based on signal strength.
