The IP8 is a programmable network remote controller for installation and live sound applications, providing physical control of AHM, dLive and Avantis systems. Eight motorised faders and 23 assignable SoftKeys allow the controller to be customised for different applications.

The eight faders can be configured individually or as part of a vertical Rotary Strip, while each fader can be assigned a suitable control range. Faders can be used to control input, mix or zone, DCA/Control Group, Aux Send, FX Send and other levels.

The IP8 is suitable for live sound systems, for example as a dLive or Avantis surface extender, as well as for installation applications, where it can provide control of microphone, music source and zone levels. It can also be used for personal monitoring, for example controlling send levels and channel assignments.

Easy Configuration

IP8 functions and control assignments can be configured using AHM System Manager, dLive Surface/Director or Avantis mixer/Director software. Depending on the system and configuration, IP8 can control input levels, mix and zone levels, DCA/Control Group levels, Aux and FX sends, as well as other functions.

Six control layers allow multiple independent configurations to be available from a single controller. The IP8 can also be used as a dLive or Avantis surface extender, for example providing dedicated control of master levels or FX sends and returns.

Convenient Connection

The IP8 uses a standard TCP/IP network connection and can be integrated into an Ethernet infrastructure alongside other controllers, computers and third-party devices. The network connection uses a locking Neutrik EtherCON connector.

The maximum cable length is 100 m when using shielded CAT5 or higher-category cable. Multiple IP8 controllers can be connected to the same network using a standard Ethernet switch.

Mounting and Power

The IP8 can be used freestanding or installed in a mounting base, console or piece of furniture. An IP8-MOUNT wall-mount bracket is available as an optional accessory for permanent installations.

Power can be supplied using the included 12 V DC power supply or via PoE+. IEEE 802.3at is supported. The IP8 has a maximum power consumption of 25 W.

Compatibility

The IP8 is designed for use with Allen & Heath AHM, dLive and Avantis systems. It can be used both in live sound systems and installation environments requiring customisable physical control of levels and functions.

IP8 functions and assignments are configured in the relevant system software. Multiple IP controllers can be used within a single system, with each controller configured for the requirements of its specific location.
