Overview
Clarett+ 8Pre is a complete audio interface for studio work. The eight Clarett microphone preamps are engineered to provide large-format studio sound for recording sessions. The analogue Air mode with impedance switching recreates the characteristic effect of Focusrite's ISA microphone preamps, adding clarity and presence to drums, guitars and vocals.
Two high-impedance JFET instrument inputs preserve the character of a guitar and provide an amplifier-like feel. Independent A-D and D-A converters provide very low distortion and up to 124 dB dynamic range. Ten balanced outputs are designed for monitoring, mixing and mastering. Eight ADAT input and eight ADAT output channels allow the system to be expanded to suit studio requirements.
The package also includes plugins from Antares, Brainworx, Softube, Landr, XLN Audio, Relab and other manufacturers.
