Compact active 2-way studio monitor with a 4″ woofer, 0.8″ metal dome tweeter, 62 Hz-20 kHz frequency response, 100 W total power and maximum SPL of 107 dB.
The Genelec 8020D is a compact active 2-way studio monitor designed for accurate near-field monitoring in studios, control rooms, editing suites and multimedia systems. It combines a 4″ woofer with a 0.8″ metal dome tweeter and provides a frequency response of 62 Hz-20 kHz.
Its die-cast aluminum enclosure with rounded edges helps minimize diffraction and reflection distortions, while the Directivity Controlled Waveguide provides consistent response both on and off axis. The integrated 50 W high-frequency and 50 W low-frequency amplifiers deliver 100 W of total power.
The built-in Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) automatically activates the monitor when an audio signal is detected and switches it to standby when no signal is present, reducing standby consumption to less than 0.5 W. The rear-panel EQ controls allow the monitor to be adapted to its acoustic environment, while the included Iso-Pod stand provides vibration isolation and adjustable vertical tilt.
